Healthy Meal

In today's blog, I have continued the 21 day challenge of eating healthy. Last weekend was difficult but this weekend hasn't been so tough. I decided to go on pintrest and learn how to cook healthy meals that are good. One meal that I learned how to cook was the "one pan meal" pasta, it consisted of onion, garlic, tomato, basil, olive oil and whole wheat angel hair pasta. You place all of these ingredients in one big pan and let it boil for 10 mins. Thats all it takes. You are ready for an amazing healthy meal cooked in 10 mins and less than 6 dollars.

Road Trip

Well this was the first of week of trying to complete my 21 day diet. It was a challenge because this week I went on a trip with the AD Club to Lubbock. There was munchies and food everywhere! I decided to go shopping before the we left and bought some healthy munchies for example, granola bars, fruit, and fruit gummies. It was difficult with the temptation of wanting to eat chips and dip considering I had three other people in the car with me that had other munchies that weren't so healthy. I did pretty good for the first two days, thursday and friday but when saturday came around I didn't do too well, I caved in and ate some hot cheetos. At least it only happened on Saturday. It's Sunday and I'm back on track.

Make it a habit

Trying to eat healthy everyday can be difficult. It takes 21 days to make it a habit. My challenge for the week is try and eat healthy for 21 days straight. It get pretty hard over the weekend, but that is what challenging yourself is all about. The first week was a success but the second week wasn't quite successful. The second week was a little hard only during the weekend. This past Saturday the temptation of fried food took over and I caved in to some home made fried pizza rolls, that were absolutely delicious. So this week starting tomorrow I will have to start over and try the 21 days consecutively. This time if I ever come across any fried food of any sort, I will try my best to turn it down. It will be rough but it will be worth it. Let the 21 days begin.

Temptation

Temptation is all around, and this week was tough. My challenge this past week was to have healthy clean meals. I started off by going grocery shopping on Sunday night. My grocery list consisted of chicken breast, ground turkey breast, kale, fruit, vegetables, tuna, wheat bread, oatmeal, and peanut butter. I also bought several healthy snacks to munch one whenever I get hungry. This week went well, for breakfast I had oatmeal and a hot tea. If I didn't feel like eating oatmeal I had my protein shake for breakfast instead. I had a heavy lunch and a light dinner and did not eat past 7pm. It was hard the first 2 days but then I knew I had to stay consistent if I want the body I want. I also stayed consistent with my workouts at 9Round and it helped a lot. I am loving it and can't wait till the end of May for my results. Keep in touch!

Results

Well, the 9Round "Biggest Loser" Challenge I have been blogging about since February 1st has come to and end. Yesterday was the last day and results were submitted. I went for my last InBody and realized that during my spring break vacation I gained 1.2 lbs. Most was muscle but some was fat. The challenge at Biggest Loser Challenge at 9Round has put me into shape and has given me some muscle. I feel more fit than ever and noticed a huge difference in my body. I feel better than ever. This past spring break week was the hardest week throughout the time because I didn't splurge on alcohol and fatty food. Although I went to 9Round 4 days out of this spring break week it helped me not gain so much weight. In the beginning of the challenge I weighed 126.9lbs and now I weigh 124. I didnt loose that much weight but I did gain more muscle and lost my cellulite and am now more fit than ever! I am so thankful and proud of myself throughout this challenge. Thank you 9Round Kickboxing!

Here is a picture of Feb 1st and NOW(You can see that I have more definition in muscle)

Here is me on Feb. 1st and  Feb 20th.

Last Week/Spring Break

Well, sadly the Biggest Loser Challenge ends next Saturday March 19th. This week I am challenging myself to a Spring Break workout. Although, I am out of school for spring break, I am going to try and stay true to my challenge by working out all week. Hopefully this week I can do it! It might be hard with the temptation of alcohol and going out of town for vacation, but I think I can do it. I have been doing so well throughout the challenge, I am down 6 pounds and have gained some muscle. I will find out my final Inbody next Saturday so stay tuned to compare and find out how much weight I have lost and how much muscle I have gained!

This image is an Inbody from two weeks ago. Next week will be an updated one with before and after pictures! Stay tuned!

20 Rounds

I am 5 weeks into the challenge and I feel better than ever! We had our group challenge workout this Saturday and it was intense. Not only did I complete the 9Round workout in 30mins but I also did an extra 11 rounds right after! I thought it was impossible and felt like I was going to throw up but I knew I could handle it and kept going. The trainers and all the motivation at 9Round kept me going. The bonus Saturday workout made me feel as if I had lost a pound in one workout! It was awesome!
The challenge ends March 19th and I'm feeling pretty confident in myself. I have challenged myself into avoiding weekend cheat days.

The Defeat

Well, its safe to say that I have defeated the Valentines weekend of getting chocolate wasted! It was hard at first but I learned and managed to avoid every single chocolate kiss, chocolate covered strawberry, or box of chocolates that came in my direction. That was my weekly challenge and I have conquered it.

On to this weeks challenge, at 9Round kickboxing gym that I am participating in the "Biggest Loser" challenge was week 3. This Saturday were due dates for our 2nd weigh-ins. I went to planet muscle and got an in-body and compared it to the one I first got at the beginning of the month. I was happy to say that within the three weeks of hard work and dedication, I lost 3lbs and a whole pound of body fat! This was exciting and has motivated me to keep up my good work. Four more weeks till this challenge is over and I hope to see more progress and pounds shredded.

Adjusting to Change

The challenge I have faced this week has been quite an experience. Its week one of the "Biggest Loser" challenge, and I am in complete body pain!  But its a pain with no regrets. Its actually a pain that I enjoy because I know the workout was worth it. I've also managed to eat healthy along the way. It was torture at first considering that I work for Chilis. I stopped the temptation by meal prepping my dinner for work. When I meal prep I also make sure to prep in small portions since I work a 9 hour late shift, that way I can snack throughout my shift. This has a been a tough week, but I know that eventually I will adjust to this change as my body adapts to it.
Keep posted for Meal Preps, before and after pictures and daily workouts.
